Queen’s Park Community Organisation (QPCO) launched  ‘Back to Our Roots’ in September 2023 with funding from the National Lottery after competing in ITV’s People’s Projects. The aim of the project is to give underrepresented groups of people or communities a platform to share their cultures and visions. These are not just one-off events, but pieces of work supporting different community groups with whatever they need to grow and help them access other local communities, statutory organisations and schools.

The video below sums up QPCO’s work with the three wonderful Bedford groups we supported through this project:

1. The Romanian community,
2. The Deaf and Hard of Hearing community; and
3. The Rwandan community.
