St Luke’s Community Cafe

On Friday 14th November 2025, we joined St Luke’s Community Cafe for another Slow Cooking Session! 🥘

Together we discussed the pros and cons, looked at recipes, and explored how simple, affordable meals can bring people closer. Everyone headed home with a free slow cooker and an ingredients pack – ready to keep the spirit of healthy home cooking alive!

Danushi Jayasiri, Church and Community Café Manager, wrote:

‘I wanted to send a huge thank you for leading the slow cooking demonstration at the St Luke’s Community Cafe session.

The session was incredibly successful, and your demonstration was excellent, highly informative, engaging, and extremely well-received by everyone who attended. The participants left feeling confident and excited to use their new slow cookers, which is exactly what we hoped for. I have attached some images for your records.

We deeply appreciate you taking the time out of your schedule as Director of Queens Park Community Organisation to support our event.

Thank you again for making the day so special and impactful.’

Huge thanks to Cadent, the Bedfordshire and Luton Community Foundation, and everyone at St Luke’s Community Cafe who made the day so special. 💛
