We were delighted to partner with the Tabitah Bondeko Lomama Foundation and the Congolese community in Bedford for a special fundraising event.
On Sunday 29th June 2025, we hosted a Fundraiser Event to mark the 65th anniversary of Congo’s independence.
The event aimed to raise funds for children affected by the ongoing war in Goma (Eastern DRC), especially orphans and displaced families. The Tabitah Bondeko Lomama Foundation has continued its impactful work on the ground — providing food distributions, medical aid, and special experiences for children who’ve never known “first times” like swimming or going on a safari.
On the day, guests enjoyed:
• Delicious Congolese food and soft drinks (n’taba, rice, mikate, and more)
• A cultural quiz with fun prizes
• Informative speeches about our mission and activities
• Music, connection, and a family-friendly atmosphere
We are grateful to everyone who supported the event. All profits are going directly to helping children in Goma — every meal served contributed to a brighter future for a child in need.
