Bedford’s BSL Festival

The feedback we have had from the deaf and hard of hearing community in Bedford is that not many businesses are able to communicate via BSL in Bedford town centreand we wanted to change that trend. Our aim is to enable as many people as possible to gain some knowledge of British Sign Language to help support the Deaf and hard of hearing community, and ensure they feel more welcome/comfortable using our town centre shops and services. To do this we will also be organising a deaf awareness day on the Sunday 12th May between 2 to 4pm at the Harpur suite in Bedford Town centre.
