This much-loved annual event promises something for everyone, including games, food, drinks, dancing, face painting, a barbecue, and plenty of opportunities to network and bond with others in the community.
Whether you’re looking to make new friends, catch up with old ones, or just enjoy a great day out with the family, this event is not to be missed!
A limited number of stalls are available for local businesses to showcase their products or services β first come, first served.

As we continue to remember the Holocaust yearly, we also remember other subsequent Genocides. We need remember over one million Tutsis who were murdered in one hundred day. The Rwandan Community in Bedford, Higgins Bedford and Queenβs Park community organisation have joined forces to organise the commemoration of the 30th anniversary of the Genocide Against the Tutsis in Rwanda. Bedford resident and Survivor, Chantal Uwamahoro, who might have heard recently on BBC radio 4, has dedicated her life to tell her story by giving lectures, talk and assemblies in schools and many public places. This event is the opportunity to come and meet survivors and the community and listen to their stories

The feedback we have had from the deaf and hard of hearing community in Bedford is that not many businesses are able to communicate via BSL in Bedford town centreand we wanted to change that trend. Our aim is to enable as many people as possible to gain some knowledge of British Sign Language to help support the Deaf and hard of hearing community, and ensure they feel more welcome/comfortable using our town centre shops and services. To do this we will also be organising a deaf awareness day on the Sunday 12th May between 2 to 4pm at the Harpur suite in Bedford Town centre. More

What an incredible start to our new youth programme! π±β¨
At our very first session, our fantastic group of young people took the lead. They shared their brilliant ideas on what activities they want to do and let us know exactly when they are available to meet.
Co-designing this programme with them means every session is going to be shaped by their voices and interests. We are so excited for what is coming next!

Despite the horrible rain, we came together and turned a grey day into a positive and uplifting one! π
Our attendees enjoyed some gentle seated exercise, followed by warm conversations over freshly made Indian tea. β We also got creative making umbrellas and welly boots, which certainly helped boost our mood and gave us plenty of reasons to smile! βοΈπ¨
As we reflected on the day, one thing stood out β coming together really does make a positive difference. Even the rain couldnβt dampen our spirits! π
A heartfelt thank you to everyone who came along, joined in, shared conversations, got creative and helped make the afternoon so special. Your presence and positivity made it all worthwhile. β€οΈ
