Get Involved – Volunteer with QPCO

At Queen’s Park Community Organisation (QPCO), we believe that strong communities are built by people who care and that everyone can make a difference. We’re a grassroots charity working across Bedford to support welfare, build community capacity, create spaces for connection, and relieve poverty.

Although we’re not actively recruiting staff right now, there are many meaningful ways you can get involved and support our mission through volunteering.

🌟 Why Volunteer with Us?

Volunteering with QPCO is a chance to:

  • Be part of community-led initiatives that support local people
  • Help deliver welcoming activities — like the Welcoming Space drop-in sessions and cultural events
  • Support others through practical tasks and compassionate connection
  • Build new skills, confidence and networks while giving back locally

Volunteers have been an essential part of our work. From helping at community events to supporting weekly sessions. And we’re deeply grateful for every contribution.

💬 What Kinds of Roles Could You Do?

We’re always open to hearing from people interested in volunteering opportunities such as:

  • Supporting community activities (e.g., Welcoming Space sessions)
  • Event support — helping run and engage at cultural and community celebrations
  • Practical assistance — writing, admin support, outreach or supporting project delivery
  • Skilled volunteering — offer expertise in areas like communications, languages, or project support

Even if we don’t have formal volunteer roles advertised, we welcome enquiries from volunteers who are passionate about community and want to help strengthen local connections.
