Join Us for All Saints’ Church Annual Windrush Day Service

All are warmly invited to attend the Windrush Day Service at All Saints’ Church on Sunday, 22nd June 2025, at 6:30 PM.

This special event celebrates the legacy of the Windrush generation and will feature guest speaker Natalie Christian-John, a professional singer, vocal coach, and choir director.

Come along to reflect, celebrate, and enjoy the fellowship. Refreshments will follow the service.

Join the Celebration of the Nishan Saab Ceremony

The Bhagwan Valmik Sabha warmly invites you to the Nishan Saab Ceremony from Friday, 30th May to Sunday, 1st June 2025 at the Bhagwan Valmik Cultural and Community Development Centre, 6-8 Muswell Road, Bedford, MK42 9PH.

This three-day event honours Bhagwan Valmik Ji’s Flag Ceremony and is open to all members of the community. Highlights include:

  • Friday 30th May: Start of Paath at 11:00 AM, followed by Aarti, Ardaas, and Keertan at 6:00 PM. (Saag and Makki Di Roti served all day.)
  • Saturday 31st May: Paath from 7:00 AM to 6:00 PM, followed by Aarti, Ardaas, and a special Keertan from 6:00 PM onwards. (Pizza and chips served.)
  • Sunday 1st June: Flag Ceremony Day, starting with Paath at 7:00 AM, Bhog at 11:00 AM, and the Flag Raising Ceremony, accompanied by Aarti, Ardaas, Keertan, and inspiring guest speakers.

Enjoy delicious food, inspiring talks, and community spirit throughout the event. Special guest singers will perform on Saturday night.

In partnership with Ilearn, we’re excited to welcome visiting artist Mo for a special Cultural Heritage Art Workshop celebrating Bangladesh Heritage Day.

Children will:
• 🐦Learn about native birds of Bangladesh
• ✂️Create colourful collage bird artwork using recycled magazines and decorative papers
• ✏️Add details with coloured pencils and pens
• 🔤Write the bird names in English and Bengali
• 🖼️ Contribute their artwork to a large community mural that will be displayed for Heritage Day.
