We are delighted to be working with Tabitah Bondeko Lomama foundation and the Congolese community in Bedford.
On Sunday 29th June 2025, we’ll be hosting a Fundraiser Event to mark the 65th anniversary of Congo’s independence.
The aim is to raise funds for children affected by the ongoing war in Goma (Eastern DRC), especially orphans and displaced families. The foundation (Tabitah Bondeko Lomama) has carried out several actions in the field — food distributions, medical aid, and special activities for children who’ve never experienced “first times” like swimming or going on a safari.
On the day, we’ll be offering:
• Delicious Congolese food and soft drinks (n’taba, rice, mikate, etc.)
• A cultural quiz with small prizes
• A few short speeches to explain who we are and what we do
• Music, community, and a family-friendly atmosphere
All profits from the event will go directly towards helping children in Goma — every meal served will support a child in need.
